She might be a little late to the party, but Beyoncé has released her very first TikTok video – and it features fellow artist Cardi B.
In the one-minute compilation video, around three dozen people dance to Beyoncé’s new single, “Break My Soul,” from her upcoming album Renaissance. Beyoncé used the opportunity to thank everyone for supporting the song’s release. “Seeing y’all release the wiggle made me so happy!” she wrote. “Thank you so much for all the love for BREAK MY SOUL! – Love B.”
In the comments section of her post, she even took time to tag some of the creators of the original videos compiled to make hers. They included @ZacharyCampbell, @JoshDior, @RareGemVibes, @Gregorian Sisters, and @Malikyyy.
Dancing in the video came in several forms. One fan danced in the mirror while eating a snack. Another shook his body while wearing a bathrobe. There was even a clip of a woman “releasing her wiggle” while pumping breast milk.
Dressed in a yellow Space Jam tank top and matching shorts, Cardi B contributed to Beyoncé’s video by singing a line of the song’s lyrics: “In case you forgot how we act outside!”
Cardi B’s portion of the video was only a few seconds of her entire “Break my Soul” performance. During a longer video, which was apparently part of an Instagram Live, she sings along with Beyoncé’s track, sprays Whipshots in her mouth, and drinks Clase Azul Reposado Tequila from the bottle.
Beyoncé’s seventh album, Renaissance, will be released on July 29, 2022.
