Festival Ceremonia 2015 Feat. Füete Billëte, Kali Uchis, Raido, Kaytranada & More

Disco Ruido

Our feet are still hurting from all the dancing and bouncing that took place last Saturday at Centro Dinámico Pegaso, where the third edition of Festival Ceremonia was held. We got there early thanks to Vans, who were kind enough to give us a ride just in time to catch some fast guitars, pounding drums, and altogether punk irreverence from Spanish freaks Los Nastys.

Among the shows we caught, Kryone did a set to remember, packed with hip hop and baile funk. Füete Billëte bombed us with nothing but hits, including songs from their upcoming album and from their well-received Música de Capsulón. Kali Uchis ended up looking cute when she tried to be sexy in an unfairly short set that got mixed reviews from the crowd. Chet Faker had everyone in his pocket, even delivering a stunning rendition of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity.”

The party never stopped at the Camp Roswell stage, and it ultimately couldn’t hold the amount of people who wanted to get in. Raido opened the stage, and it was definitely one of the highlights of the festival, thanks to his mix of global bass, which included trap and Jersey club bangers. Techno was also present, in both a mellow form, courtesy of Trillones, and a heavy-hitting way, thanks to MATE. We wanted to see ZutZut and Ezekiel destroy what was left of this stage, but it really was impossible to get in. Another bummer: AAAA’s cancellation.

The rain (and hail!) was the villain of the party, making us miss sets by Kaytranada and Melody’s Echo’s Chamber, but it didn’t stop the majority of the attendees from partying up until Green Velvet closed the Vans “Off The Wall” stage. Here’s to the Ceremonia crew for another successful edition of the festival.
