After reshooting the pilot and replacing a few cast members, FX is ready to unveil its first look at the upcoming Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC.

The forty-second teaser doesn’t show us anything more than what we already know. The motorcycle gang known as the Mayans ride through a field, turning flowers black to the rollicking strains of the Rolling Stones’ “Paint it Black” in Spanish. No plot is shown in the trailer but we already know the series will follow new prospect EZ Reyes (JD Pardo) as he attempts to become a member of the Mayans biker gang. EZ will also have to deal with his father, Felipe (played by Edward James Olmos), a “Mexican OG…trying to walk the straight and narrow.”

Mayans MC has taken almost a year to see fruition after originally being announced. Unlike its predecessor, the Kurt Sutter-helmed Sons of Anarchy, Mayans MC is being run by Cuban showrunner Norberto Barba. Alongside Olmos and Pardo will include Sons of Anarchy alum Emilio Rivera, Clayton Cardenas, and Richard Cabral.

Mayans MC will be a ten-episode series debuting sometime in the fall.
