When Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna team up magic happens. Well, now they’re applying their skills towards aiding those in need in their native country after the devastating earthquake that hit Mexico on Tuesday.
Bernal and Luna are asking the public to open their hearts and donate to the relief efforts. Teaming up with Omaze and Ambulante (the non-profit documentary film festival they launched over a decade ago) – the two have started a relief fund. 100% of the monies donated will go towards “local organizations and social initiatives” trying to rebuild schools, homes and hospitals.
The campaign runs through the end of October and has already garnered several thousand dollars towards aid.
