The amount of things Mexican director Guillermo del Toro is involved in is varied and diverse. He recently announced plans to start his own horror anthology series on Netflix, he’s created film scholarships for aspiring directors, there’s even a Guillermo del Toro movie theater, for crying out loud! And now you can bring home your favorite horror helmer in action figure form!

That’s right, Guillermo del Toro is getting his own doll. The National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) will release a model of the director at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The figure is limited to 2,000 copies and will sell for $40 at the NECA booth at the convention, which runs from July 19th to the 22nd. The figure is part of NECA’s Guillermo del Toro Signature Collection which will also contain figures of Santi, the character from del Toro’s 2001 film The Devil’s Backbone, as well as the Pale Man and the Faun from the director’s 2004 Academy Award-winning film Pan’s Labyrinth.

Considering how much of a fan of pop culture del Toro is something like this has to please him. The folks at NECA look to have done a fantastic job, the facial hair is especially perfect. The detail on the del Toro figure himself is spectacular, and they’ve even gone so far as to recreate the notebook he used while producing Pan’s Labyrinth. For many, this could be the closest they ever come to being near the legendary director. If you’re out at Comic-Con in July you should definitely drop by the NECA booth and give this a look up-close.
