Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ Releasing Episodes Over 4 Nights — Here Are the Dates

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities officially has release dates for the episodes debuting on Netflix. The acclaimed Mexican Academy Award-winning filmmaker, creator, executive producer, and co-showrunners horror project has been on the radar for over a year, with an official star-studded trailer being released a few weeks ago. Now we’re one step closer with the release dates and the order of the episodes to be released, leading to a thrilling Halloween week.

  • October 25 – Night One: “Scavengers” featuring episodes “Lot 36” and “Graveyard Rats”
  • October 26 – Night Two: “Loners” featuring episodes “The Autopsy” and “The Outside”
  • October 27 – Night Three: “Lovecraft” featuring episodes “Pickman’s Model” and “Dreams in the Witch House”
  • October 28 – Night Four: “Visitations” featuring episodes “The Viewing” and “The Murmuring”

The series is supposed to challenge the classical horror genre. The eight individual, stand-alone episodes include themes like magic, murder, supernatural, to classically creepy. The eight episodes were also written by a team of writers and directors who were personally chosen by Del Toro.

Per Netflix’s logline, “In Cabinet of Curiosities, acclaimed Academy Award-winning filmmaker and creator, executive producer and co-showrunner Guillermo del Toro has curated a collection of unprecedented and genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror. From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, these eight equally sophisticated and sinister tales (including two original stories by del Toro) are brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by del Toro.”

The star-studded cast in this series includes some Hollywood heavy-hitters, such as Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead), Ben Barnes (The Punisher and Westworld), Essie Davis, (The Babadook) Rupert Grint (Harry Potter franchise), Peter Weller (Robocop).

Latine talent in the series includes Ismael Cruz Córdova (The Rings of Power), Elpidia Carrillo (Predator), and Guatemalan musician Gaby Moreno.
