  • Isabela Merced (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) and Gloria Estefan (Music of the Heart) are on board for the remake of Father of the Bride. Andy Garcia (Words on Bathroom Walls) and Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising) have already been cast as the title father and bride.   • Roselyn Sanchez (TV’s Devious Maids) will star in the reboot of the TV series Fantasy Island. She will play a descendant of Ricardo Montalbán’s character from the original series, which ran in the late ’70s and early ’80s. [The Hollywood Reporter]
  • Oscar Nuñez (TV’s The Office) has joined Oscar winner Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side) and Channing Tatum (Magic Mike) in the action rom-com The Lost City of D. Nuñez and Bullock last starred together in the 2009 comedy The Proposal. [Variety]
  • La Casa de las Flores (House of Flowers), a popular Mexican TV series on Netflix, is spinning off into its own movie. [Variety]
