While Jenna Ortega’s fans are all hoping for good news about the second season of Wednesday, Ortega is keeping busy booking more projects.

According to Deadline, Ortega will reunite with her Wednesday co-star Percy Hynes White for the romantic drama Winter Spring Summer Or Fall. On Wednesday, White plays Xavier Thorpe, a student with psychic abilities who attends Nevermore Academy with Ortega’s character. While they develop a friendship and a will-they won’t-they, it doesn’t lead anywhere romantic.

That, however, will change for Ortega and White’s characters in Winter Spring Summer Or Fall where they will play two teenagers who fall in love in the span of “four significant days of the year,” according to Deadline. The outlet describes the film as a mix of the 1995 romantic drama Before Sunrise and the 2012 romantic drama, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Winter Spring Summer Or Fall will mark the directorial debut of Tiffany Paulsen, who wrote the 2020 Netflix Christmas rom-com Holidate. The screenplay was penned by Dan Schoffer (Hollidaysburg). Ortega is also an executive producer on the film.

“Jenna is enormously talented as an actor and producer, and we know both she and Percy will bring heartfelt depth to their roles and that, along with Tiffany’s experience with character and her vision for this film, will only enhance the brilliant script from Dan,” producer Brad Krevoy said in a statement.

Next up for Jenna Ortega is the release of Scream 6 on March 10, 2023. She also has a crime drama in post-production called Finestkind from the director and Oscar-winning screenwriter Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential) where she’ll star alongside Ismael Cruz Córdova (The Rings of Power), Ben Foster (Hell or High Water), and Oscar winner Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive).
