The cast of Mayans M.C. will be one of many representing their series at the 2022 Comic-Con International convention, which takes place in San Diego from July 21-24.
According to Deadline, the Mayans M.C. screening and Q&A panel will happen on the final day of the conference and include co-creator Elgin James and stars JD Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, Danny Pino, Sarah Bolger, Emilio Rivera, Michael Irby, Raoul Max Trujillo, Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero, Vincent Vargas, Gino Vento, JR Bourne, Emily Tosta, and Vanessa Giselle.
The fourth season of Mayans M.C. ended last month. No news about a fifth season has been announced, but actor J.D. Pardo didn’t seem to be too concerned about it when a fan of the series mentioned it on Twitter last week.
“I’m not worried,” Pardo tweeted. “It’s a timing issue. Not ratings. We are top 5 cable scripted series. All will be a-ok!”
In May, Mayans M.C. star and Oscar-nominated actor Edward James Olmos talked to Remezcla about what it was like working with his son Michael D. Olmos, who directed the fourth episode of the fourth season.
“New directors want to move the line and want to get [the episode] to a place where people can say, ‘Wow, [the series] has grown so much since he or she came on as director,’” Olmos said. “Most of the directors we get [on Mayans] are really good. That’s the key. That’s what Mikey did.”
Other Latines who will attend Comic-Con this year include Lisette Olivera for her lead role in National Treasure: Edge of History; Aubrey Plaza for Little Demon; Michael Cimino for Hamster & Gretel; and Harvey Guillén for What We Do In the Shadows.
