There’s a lot to unpack after watching the official trailer for the fourth season of Mayans M.C., which debuts April 19 on FX.

This season, everything seems to be riding on the decisions that Mayans’ Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes (J.D. Pardo) will make for the club and if the chapter will survive those choices. “Tired of small men hijacking the club, letting their ego, their weakness dictate,” EZ says, referring to Bishop (Michael Irby), who is now the sole king of the Mayans.

The scene cuts to rival chapter Sons of Anarchy holding a meeting to discuss the Mayans’ Santa Padre chapter and how they should take advantage of its fragile state.

“Santa Padres is on their last leg,” a SAMCRO charter president says. “The whole club is hanging by a thread. Let the dogs eat each other. We’ll feast on the bones.” A showdown between SAMCRO and the Mayans was teased last month that showed the two clubs coming to blows in what looked like an epic showdown in the rain.

Still, even with their enemies out to get them, the Mayans might have to worry more about their own when it comes to potential bloodshed. The other chapters aren’t happy that Bishop has taken control of the entire club. “I need to know where everybody’s loyalties are at,” Marcus Álvarez (Emilio Rivera) asks.

Contrary to popular belief online, the trailer does not show EZ kissing Nails (Justina Adorbo), his brother Angel’s (Clayton Cardenas) fiancée. Many fans were flipping out at the one-second shot in the trailer, but the woman is a new character named Sofia (Andréa Cortes).

What we don’t know, however, is if that punch EZ delivers to Bishop’s face at the end of the trailer actually lands. Whether it does or not, the world of Mayans M.C. Season 4 is going to be a bumpy ride.
