Rebelde is coming back for season 2, and at least one new student is coming to Elite Way School. That presumably brings new problems, new relationships, and new music. One thing is for sure: if those turn out to be as interesting as season 1 was, we will not be complaining.
The new face for season 2 will be none other than Saak Figueroa, who introduced himself as the one who will make Elite Way School “arder,” (burn) presumably in a good way. The casting was announced during the Todos Somos Rebelde live stream, on Netflix Latin America’s YouTube Channel.
Saak is not an actor – in fact, this will be his first role in front of the cameras. Instead, he’s a Youtuber and influencer, who specializes in musical covers. He’s been making music videos since 2014, and once even participated in The Voice: Mexico. This means that, despite his lack of acting experience, he’s got a big following who’s excited to see him join Rebelde.
After the news was announced, the official Instagram account posted a picture of some of the season 1 cast with Saak.
They also posted the video to the announcement, for fans who don’t want to sit through the entire live stream just to see the new member of the cast.
The singer, who’s got a verified Instagram account with over one million followers, also posted pictures from the live stream.
We wish Saak the best of luck, and hopefully, just the right amount of drama as he joins Elite Way School.
