One of the most iconic scenes in Gregory Nava’s biopic about Tejana superstar Selena is his recreation of her last concert at the Houston Astrodome. Taking place in 1995, the singer’s final performance has become indicative of her legend as a performer, with her purple jumpsuit becoming an indelible image and a popular Halloween costume.

While the Jennifer Lopez-led movie had its own version of the concert, it also included actual footage from the Houston Astrodome. For some, that may be have been their only glimpse at the concert special. It aired on Univision in 1995 and has been re-aired in following years, but it’s not always available to watch. If you feel like you’re missing out, you can rectify that by streaming it on Amazon Prime. Selena – The Last Concert: Live From the Astrodome is a 54-minute chronicle of the masterful entertainer. She performed a disco medley, which included “Funkytown” and “I Will Survive” as well as her hits, such as “No Me Queda Más” and “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.”

The concert boasts the distinction of selling more tickets than popular country stars of the day, including Reba McEntire and George Strait. It was also the final televised concert performance by Selena before Yolanda Saldívar shot and killed her on March 31, 1995.

The performance was released on DVD in 2003. Entitled Live: The Last Concert, it was put out by the Quintanilla family’s production company and Image Entertainment.

Selena remains a popular subject in today’s day and age. Netflix recently commissioned a scripted television series about the singer’s life and several popular singers, including rapper Cardi B, have talked about her influence.

You can rent The Last Concert for $2.99 or purchase it for $19.99 on Amazon.
