Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson showed off a little hip action last week when he made a stop at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, where the home team Los Angeles Rams were playing against the Buffalo Bills.

Johnson was there to promote his upcoming DC Comics superhero film Black Adam but took some time to listen to the Rams’ in-house mariachi band, the Mariachi Rams, play a song just for him. During a mariachi version of “Oye Cómo Va,” a song made famous in 1970 by Santana, Johnson danced along for a few seconds and smiled as onlookers took photos of him interacting with the band.

“The #ManInBlack’s salsa game is STRONG,” Johnson posted on TikTok. He added the hashtag #allinthehips.

Christopher Rubalcava, a trumpet player with Mariachi Rams, commented on the video Johnson posted on his TikTok account to share what the experience was like playing for one of the biggest action stars on the planet.

“Such an honor to perform for him!” Rubalcava wrote. “I told him how I grew up watching him and copying all his wrestling moves with my brothers was my childhood!”

Along with a few fans letting Johnson know that they wouldn’t mind teaching him how to salsa themselves, other TikTok users got a kick out of watching Johnson having fun with the mariachi players. Some of the online comments made included “The Rock can’t resist the beat,” “You feeling the power of El Mariachi, my brother” and “What a beautiful Rock serenade.”

We’re guessing if Johnson was a mariachi player himself, he’d pick up the guitarrón and have one helluva grito.

Black Adam premieres at theaters on October 21, 2022.
