Which of Jennifer Lopez’s movies from her nearly 30-year career would you like to see her make a sequel to? In our opinion, it would be great if she reprised her role as U.S. Marshal Karen Sisco in a follow-up to the 1998 crime rom-com Out of Sight. Or maybe we can get an update from her exotic-dancer-turned-thief character Ramona for Hustlers 2.

If it was up to Lopez, her choice wouldn’t be one of her most beloved films or even one that cashed in at the box office. Instead, Lopez would pick what is arguably the worst movie from her filmography – Gigli.

During an interview with Vogue, when asked about what sequel she would entertain making, she named the 2003 crime rom-com, which The Washington Post described in guttural sounds instead of actual words: “Ach. Oy. Woe and poo, bleccch and uck! ZZZZZ-zzz,” the review read. It’s also the movie where she first met her now-husband Ben Affleck who co-starred with Lopez in the cinematic bomb.

We’re not quite sure if Lopez was only joking when she answered Vogue’s question with Gigli. She might’ve been teasing since it elicited some laughter from her when the interviewer countered her response with the words, “Critically acclaimed!”

Nevertheless, we doubt any producer or director would touch Gigli again. Not only was it panned by critics and audiences alike, but the movie also made a paltry $7.2 million on a $75.6 million budget. It was also nominated for 10 Razzie Awards, which (dis)honors the worst films of the year. It ended up “winning” seven of those awards, including Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Affleck), and Worst Actress (Lopez). Ouch.

Along with the Gigli sequel talk, Lopez was asked by Vogue about her 1997 biopic Selena and how she celebrated landing the role. “There was really no celebrating,” Lopez said. “I got right to work. I was so nervous.” Later, when asked which of her characters she is most like in real life, she said, “I think there’s a little bit of me in all the characters I play, but I would have to say Selena.”

Vogue asked Lopez 73 questions in all. She answered 72 of them correctly.
