Ghostface has tracked down his latest victims in the chilling new Super Bowl trailer for Scream 6.
In the new TV spot, which will air during Super Bowl LVII, sisters Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara (Jenna Ortega) Carpenter, who survived the last movie and moved to NYC for a fresh start, watch as Ghostface walks up the steps of a house they’re in and puts its masked face up against the frosted glass window. Creepy.
To escape Ghostface in the new trailer, our leading ladies must crawl onto a ladder that they have strategically placed outside of a window to get to an adjacent building along with their friends Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown), Chad (Mason Gooding), and Anika (Devyn Nekoda). The group has very little time to cross their ladder bridge, however. Ghostface is breaking down the door behind them and looks extra bloodthirsty as he goes for the ladder.
Later, the group finds themselves in a warehouse where OG cast member Courtney Cox, who reprises her role once again as Gale Weathers, tells everyone that someone has made a shrine to Ghostface. Could the new Ghostface be a copycat killer who is inspired by the Ghostface legend?
Whoever it is, Tara has a good idea about how to end Ghostface’s reign of terror in the Scream 6 Super Bowl spot. “We execute him,” she says. At least that’ll work until the inevitable (but far from confirmed) Scream 7.
