With wines titled La Vin de Merde (translation, shit wine) and Bitch, nothing should surprise us when it comes to the naming conventions of alcoholic beverages. And yet, it’s hard not to do a double take when presented with a bottle bearing the words Culitos.

Culitos Wine is one of the brands launched by JV Wines, a maker and importer of wines established in 1910. Today, the company imports wines from Chile, Italy, Germany, and France and distributes them to more than 40 states. Some of JV Wines most famous brands also have odd names, including Sweet Bitch, Huevos, and Groupie. But Culitos has captured social media users for years, mainly because the wine’s label features a Renaissance-like painting of two women and a man naked, showing only their (you guessed it) culitos.

Culitos has six different variations, but it’s best-known for the Merlot/Cabernet blend. Sold for $7.99, the Culitos blend has a rating of 2.8 on Vivino, where the reviews are not so kind. “Tastes like the name and picture suggests. Sickeningly sweet, with a nasty aftertaste, I wouldn’t serve this to anyone unless they absolutely loved sweet wines, and even then I’d hesitate,” one reviewer writes.

But the bad reviews haven’t stopped Culitos Wines from becoming one of the internet’s most beloved sensations. Over the years, the fascination over Culitos Wine has only increased, and some even say they’ve developed an “addiction” to the sweet spirit. Others simply think it’s an awkward name for a wine, especially if your abuelita stocks it in her fridge.

Below, check out the most hilarious tweets dedicated to the internet’s favorite awkward spirit.
