There’s no question about it: “Pokemon Go” officially rules our life. Having only been released on July 6 on both iPhone and Android, the augmented reality game that allows us to step into the shoes of Ash Ketchum has really taken off. So much so that Nintendo’s gained $9 billion in market value, and people would rather use Google to learn more about the game than to search for porn. It’s that real.
By forcing us to go outside to catch them all, the game is helping us forge new (if brief) relationships and getting us to exercise. Thankfully, we no longer have to choose between giving the app creators access to our emails and not playing the game, because this issue has been rectified in an update. Of course, not everything is Roselia (yep, I went there) since the game hasn’t hit all parts of Latin America. But it doesn’t mean they aren’t participating in the international discussion of the game, and making some hilarious commentary.
