Super Bowl LVII is in the sports history books and besides being an exciting game and featuring a cool halftime show by Rhianna, this year’s TV commercials were a significant reason why many viewers tuned in to the big game this year.

According to a 2021 survey published by Statista, 43 percent of viewers in the U.S. say they watch the Super Bowl specifically for the commercials. The figure was 60 percent among women and 24 percent among men. That’s a big portion of the 115 million viewers expected to have seen the Kansas City Chiefs battle the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday (February 12).

Since some Super Bowl commercials these days premiere prior to the actual game, we’ve covered a few of them in the last couple of weeks, including the Breaking Bad reunion with Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Raymond Cruz for PopCorners, and the trailer for Scream 6 featuring Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera.

Here are 9 more Super Bowl commercials featuring Latine talent that we enjoyed watching during the hard-fought game.

1

Jennifer Lopez for Dunkin'

The rumors early last month that Lopez would star in a Super Bowl commercial with her husband Ben Affleck were true. Lopez comes in at the end of the TV spot at a Dunkin’ drive-thru where Affleck is taking orders. “Grab me a glazed,” Lopez tells him after asking him if this is what he does when he says he’s going to work.

2

David ‘Big Papi’ Ortiz for Draft Kings

The MLB legend shows up in a Draft Kings commercial talking to NFL legend Emmitt Smith at a party before comedian Kevin Hart knocks a plate of food out of his hand. He also eats some cheese sculpted to look like Hart’s head. “Kev, your face is delicious,” Big Papi says.

3

Sasha Calle for 'The Flash'

DC fans got their first look at Sasha Calle’s Supergirl in the upcoming superhero movie, The Flash. In one scene, Supergirl shoots lasers out of her eyes during an epic battle and even faces Zod. Calle’s future with DC after this film is still unknown, but we’re hoping she proves to everyone that she deserves the role. Plus, her reaction to seeing herself as Supergirl is everything.

4

Diana Flores for the NFL

Diana Flores, captain of the Mexican National Flag Football team, collaborated with the NFL for a commercial to show just how fast and agile she really is at her sport. Everyone who comes across Flores in the TV spot attempts to take her flag from her waist, including NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews. Even her own mamá cannot be trusted. Get to know more about her here.

5

Canelo Alvarez for Michelob Ultra

The champion boxer gets behind the wheel of a golf cart filled with Michelob Ultra and drives it to the 18th hole where actor Brian Cox (Succession) and tennis icon Serena Williams are finishing up a friendly competition. Alvarez watches as Williams gets a little lucky and putts her ball into the hole for the victory.

6

Zoe Saldaña for 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3'

Zoe Saldaña is back as Gamora in a new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3. Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), the ex-boyfriend of her alternate self, is thrown off by the massive differences between this version and her other self. At the end of the preview, Gamora is wondering if Star-Lord was, in fact, in love with her sister Nebula (Karen Gillan) this entire time. Sounds like a telenovela.

7

Anthony Ramos for 'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts'

What drives a hero? It’s a question the sequel Transformers: Rise of the Beasts asks audiences during its Super Bowl spot, which features Anthony Ramos fist-pumping his new Transformers friend Mirage (Pete Davidson). Ramos looks like a natural behind his Porsche and told Remezcla that he was “pumped” to get his own Transformer.

8

The Latinas of ‘Fast X’

The 10th installment of the Fast & Furious film franchise will include a team of Latinas, including Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, and Nathalie Emmanuel. All three are seen in the new Super Bowl preview. The only Latina missing is Oscar winner Rita Moreno, who joins the franchise as Vin Diesel’s abuela. Fans can see her in the full trailer that premiered last week.

9

Anitta for Lays

Anitta teams up with Lays for a commercial featuring the brand’s classic potato chips. This is the only TV spot on the list that premiered after the Super Bowl, not during it. Anitta brings out the bass to sing her hit song “Envolver” and eats some crunchy chips. She even throws a chip into the air and bumps it with her hip and catches it before she devours it.
