The 14th annual Premios Juventud took place on Univision on Thursday night. This year’s ceremony saw a shakeup in format. Instead of awarding actors and musicians, this year’s show – themed “Apostando por el Futuro” – focused on style, music, and activism. And while the categories looked wildly different – Best Song for Dancing, Best Song for Your “Troca,” and Best Song for Loving – Premios Juventud remained the same in many ways, meaning that once again white Latinx artists remained at the forefront.

A lot went down during the three-hour ceremony, so we’ve broken it down for you. Here are eight things you may have missed at this year’s show:

1

Bad Bunny rocked yellow nail polish.

Bad Bunny‘s mani was fly.

2

Shakira performed "Chantaje" with Coldplay.

Shakira and Coldplay performed “Chantaje” at the Global Citizen Festival in Hamburg, Germany. Chris Martin sang Maluma’s part. And Yes, Shakira did call the Coldplay frontman pretty boy Chris.

3

Prince Royce said he wasn't invited.

Prince Royce tweeted that Premios Juventud shut him out. The Sprint spokesman insinuated that the snub is because T-Mobile is one of the award’s sponsors. Upset fans used both #Royce4Sprint and #SinRoyceNoMiroPJ to express their support for the artist and dissatisfaction with the show.

4

Maluma and Daddy Yankee were the night's biggest winners.

Viewers criticized the show for not highlighting the diversity within the Latino community.

Just like in past years, the show mostly awarded white Latinx artists, leaving many frustrated that the contributions of talented artists of color went ignored. The show – which also gave a platform to white mainstream artists – was a disservice to the Latino community.
