The details of the highly-anticipated final concert from Aventura were announced this morning via Instagram (June 28). The renowned bachata group will be performing their alleged only and last show together on Saturday, August 14, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. Tickets go on sale on June 30 at 10 a.m. E.S.T., according to the announcement.

The band, best known for hits like “Obsesión,” “Cuando Volverás,” and “Un Beso,” was formed in 1993 when brothers Lenny and Max Santos started the group La Banda Sueño. Soon after, Anthony “Romeo” Santos and Henry Santos joined the group. Over the years, Aventura rose to fame as one of the most influential and recognized groups in Latin music history.

Since forming, Aventura has taken a few breaks to work on individual projects, but they’ve come together on several occasions after taking time off as a group. For one month in 2016, they reunited for a concert lineup at the United Palace Theater in New York City. They also released a new single, “Immortal” — their first in 10 years — in 2019 as part of Romeo’s album Utopia

Last year, the group announced their first U.S. tour since they first split in 2011, La Gira Inmortal, which sold out its first few concerts in just minutes. Unfortunately, after a handful of shows, the rest of the tour was initially postponed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over one year later, in May 2021, the group announced that the entire tour would be canceled, and they’d ultimately only be doing one show. Details of when and where had not been revealed — until today.

Aventura has won several Billboard Latin Music Awards and was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award in 2007 for Best Contemporary Tropical Album for K.O.B. Live. In addition, Aventura won Tropical Duo/Group of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in 2019.
