Romeo Santos loves surprises. Just a few weeks ago, he playfully (and nakedly) announced a surprise Aventura single on April Fool’s Day. And though the initial announcement was an April Fool’s joke, his latest album, Utopía, did drop a few days later – complete with a mini-Aventura reunion in the form of the single “Inmortal.”

On Thursday night at the Latin Billboard Awards, Santos couldn’t help but continue the playful trolling. After winning the award for Solo Tropical Artist of the Year, he brought Raulín Rodríguez out to perform their collaboration “La Demanda,” from Utopía. And if bringing out a bachata legend and shouting out the Dominican Republic wasn’t already enough excitement for Santos’ fans, as the chorus came to an end, the song shifted to “Inmortal,” and the remaining members of Aventura joined him onstage.

The adventure didn’t end there. A while later, the Bronx-bred Dominican idols were awarded their own prize: Tropical Artist of the Year, Duo or Group. Hopefully all this attention on our favorite boy band means we can expect a much bigger reunion soon.
