Award-winning music superstar. Fashion inspo. Professional wrestler. The many accomplishments of Bad Bunny can go on and on. Now, the chart-topping artist can add being captured in wax form to his list of career achievements.
On Tuesday (April 19), Bad Bunny unveiled two wax figures at the world-renowned Madame Tussauds wax museum in New York – Times Square. During the ceremony, Bad Bunny celebrated the introduction of the pair of sculptures by posing with them for a side-by-side photo session.
Like most of the figures in the Madame Tussauds collection, it’s surreal when you look at Bad Bunny’s wax doppelgangers. The facial hair and details are shockingly realistic. When it comes to outfits, the first features him in his 2021 Wrestlemania ensemble: a long, black leather jacket with gray pants and shoes and a long-sleeve black shirt. The figure also wears a chained gold necklace and has both pinky fingers raised near his face.
The second features Bad Bunny with the same pose of his pinkies raised to his face — but this time, he’s in his Super Bowl LIV outfit: a long, silver jacket with matching pants, shoes, and durag. The wax figure also wears glasses, a gray turtleneck, and a silver cross. The coat is covered in silver gemstones, and some of the stones are lined up under his eyes.
According to Madame Tussauds, one of the Bad Bunny wax figures will stay at the museum in New York. The other will get a permanent home at the museum in Orlando alongside other famous effigies of celebrity Latines, including Pitbull, Ricky Martin, Selena Gomez, and Sofia Vergara.
Other Latine statues housed in one of the many Madame Tussauds wax museums worldwide include Selena Quintanilla, Mariah Carey, Lionel Messi, Jennifer Lopez, Zoe Saldaña, and Eva Longoria, among others.
