Cardi B’s career-defining album Invasion of Privacy may have dropped only four months ago, but the Bronx-bred rapper is already plotting new material. On Instagram last month, she revealed she had plans to release a new project in the fall, even though her Bad Bunny and J Balvin collab “I Like It” is still sitting at no. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

As Genius reports, on Thursday, the Dominican-Trinidadian star took to Instagram Live to share more details on the project with fans. “There are about five songs I was supposed to put on Invasion of Privacy that didn’t fit – they didn’t make sense [for the album]…so I’m gonna put it on this project that I really wanna put out on September 1, but I’m missing like four or five songs.” With a tracklist this long, it seems Belcalis could be cooking up a full-length project – either a mixtape or a proper album release.

In the rest of the clip, Cardi explains that she also has an additional six features to work on for other artists, so the project is still very much in the works. (Keep in mind that the “I Like It” star just gave birth to her first daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus last month, but that hasn’t stopped her from working on new music).

Even though she previously stated she’d be taking a break from live performance to focus on raising her child, Almanzar recently announced her first post-pregnancy appearances at San Antonio’s Mala Luna Festival and Long Beach’s Tropicália Music & Taco Festival, where she is headlining alongside Morrissey.

Watch the Instagram clip below and keep your eyes peeled for more information soon.
