Over the weekend on Twitter, #Cucoisoverparty piled up with commentary about allegations made against Cuco in regards to interactions between him and an underage fan when the Chicano artist was 18 years old, about three years back.
While the principal Twitter thread has since been deleted, screenshots shared by the OP are still making the rounds.
Fans and non-fans alike are trying to figure out where they stand on the issue.
Last night, Cuco addressed the issue on Instagram.

“My mistakes are my mistakes,” he admits, acknowledging that communicating with anyone underage once he turned 18 years old was inappropriate while simultaneously denying “any lewd behavior with these individuals.”
Many fans have responded with support for the artist. Others, however, point to more problems: “Girls are still accusing him and his bandmates of touching and grooming them as minors, plus I know a case personally,” @dwyer.valaya commented.
As always, it’s important to first and foremost listen to survivors of any kind of abuse. As of now, the account of the person who first posted the screenshots remains deactivated.
