Spain’s Band to Watch Deers had to make a swift identity shift to start the new year after receiving a notice threatening legal action from a band sharing their namesake. After deciding to switch their name to Hinds, they posted a positive hand-written note on their Facebook page saying, “Let’s take this with a smile”–
The name change will most likely change very little for the band, and to keep things moving forward they’ve just released a lo-fi documentary video of their summer tour, which was “made, directed, edited, lived and drunk by [them].” Press play for 24 minutes of the roaming band of garage rockers, and keep an eye on dates in the US as they make their way to Austin for this March’s SXSW.
