In case there was any doubt about how Diddy is feeling about the rise of 24-year-old pop inferno and feminist meme star Maluma, he cleared them up last night at Miami’s American Airlines Arena. Diddy hopped on stage while the Colombian singer played to a predominantly Latinx crowd during the U.S. leg of his F.A.M.E. tour, Maluma’s first major pass through the region since his Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy dates back in 2017.

Maluma bear-hugged the mogul from behind, and Diddy went through a roll call to the 21,000-person capacity crowd. “Cuba! Dominican Republic! Puerto Rico! Colombia! I’m proud of Maluma. I’m so proud of you. I’m so proud of you,” he said. “I just wanted to come out here and tell all my Latino brothers and sisters I love y’all. Thank you for always supporting. You know, I’m from New York. I grew up with my brothers and sisters; now we all here.”

Maluma hinted at fusions to come when he later posted his own video of the moment. “UNIENDO CULTURAS/UNITING CULTURES” was his caption.

Diddy posed for photos backstage with the man of the night and Marc Anthony, who was on hand that night to sing his verses live on the salsa version of “Felices Los 4.” The concert’s co-star lineup was not limited to the two J.Lo exes. Noriel came out for “Cuatro Babys,” and Prince Royce made an appearance to duet on their song “El Clavo.”
