In another move proving Romeo Santos road to domination of pop culture, the self-proclaimed King of Bachata announced today that he’d be performing at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Santos is set to appear on the NY Daily News float on November 27th in a slot formerly held by Kanye West and Mary J. Blige, a big moment for bachatero presence in the mainstream. Santos’ last performance in New York filled the Bronx with over 50,000 fans for two nights in a row this past July, as immortalized in Remezcla’s recap, “Things Romeo Santos Did in White Pants at his Yankee Stadium Concert, as Live Tweeted:

His parade debut will come a few weeks after a live session at the White House for US troops, offering up another crossover moment for Latinos from the diaspora into mainstream America.
