For those of us in California, we don’t have to go too far to find delightful pop music a la Mexicana. That’s because Fernanda Ulibarri’s has lived here since 2008!
Ulibarri starts the year with a new track, the electro-polka jam “Crush.” Before you ask, no, it’s not a jingle about the line of soda. It is, however, just as catchy thanks to a beat that bounces along with all the joy of a circus funhouse as Uli sings about a special someone she’s crushing on.
It’s her first work since her 2012 debut, átOma, a highly underrated album you should listen to if you haven’t already. In fact, add it to your list of New Year’s Resolutions you can actually accomplish!
