Mutek, the forward-thinking, Canada-born festival that pushes electronic sounds and digital arts, returns to Mexico for its 13th edition. From October 19-23, 2016, Mexico City will witness live performances from an expertly curated string of artists, ranging from techno legends to avant-garde newcomers.

In its first announcement, Mutek.Mx confirmed Holly Herndon, XL signee Powell, Tijuana’s Murcof, Andes-step extraordinaire Nicola Cruz, and beGun, among many others. Things have gotten even juicier with the second batch of participants, led by none other than Detroit techno icon Richie Hawtin. Also joining the party are Planet Mu head honcho µ-Ziq, and Austrian-American DJ John Tejada, just to name a few.

The Latinx front is powerful this year, as AAAA, Imaabs, Gaspar Peralta, Me & Myself, and a special collaborative project from Vicente Sanfuentes and Mijo join the bill.
