The Latin American branch of National Geographic’s TV network will premiere a two-hour episode of their docuseries BIOS dedicated to Soda Stereo frontman and Latin American rock icon Gustavo Cerati. It promises to include material that will keep any diehard fan of the Argentine singer-songwriter glued to their screen.

For this episode of the series, producer Sebastián Ortega was granted access to the singer’s archives, which include home videos and unreleased songs, as well as new interviews with Cerati’s inner circle. The network is working directly with the Ceratis, who opened their personal collection for National Geographic to use exclusive footage and interviews (though it’s not clear if Soda members Charly Alberti and Zeta Bosio will appear in the episode as well). Gustavo’s sister, Laura Cerati, told Argentine newspaper Clarín, “For us, his family, it’s an honor that National Geographic is doing a tribute to Gustavo’s music.”

After Cerati died in 2014 following a four-year coma induced by a stroke, the Argentine icon and his band Soda Stereo have been the subject of several tributes, including a Cirque Du Soleil show. BIOS will surely reveal some unexplored aspects of the artist’s career.

BIOS is slated to premiere with an episode dedicated to fellow Argentine rock legend Charly García, which will most likely feature some ridiculous soundbites from the singer. Although no date has been announced yet, Clarín reports that the two-hour Cerati episode will air across Latin America before the end of the year.
