Argentine rock legend and Soda Stereo frontman Gustavo Cerati has reportedly passed away at the age of 55.
Earlier today, the Cerati family posted a note on the late artist’s Facebook page, sharing that he passed away due to respiratory arrest at the ALCLA Clinic in Buenos Aires. In 2010, Cerati suffered a stroke while on tour in Caracas, Venezuela, after which he remained in a coma in intensive care, with his family holding out hope for recovery.
As frontman of the Argentine rock band Soda Stereo, Cerati was a pioneering force in Ibero-American as a singer, songwriter, composer, and guitarist.
