If you’re wondering why the impatience that’s lingered heavily on your head for the last year has magically been (partially) lifted – the full release will hopefully come after the 2020 election – I bring great news. Like a lover who magically reappears when they sense you’ve lost interest or have momentarily forgotten their existence, Ozuna is back. The Puerto Rican-Dominican singer has finally, thankfully, set the release date for Nibiru. Situated comfortably between “Thank u, Next” and Christmas, Nibiru will make its way to your headphones on November 29th.

Despite many, many premature teasers, this isn’t a false alarm. As one does ahead of a major album release, the 27-year-old is back on social media and used the platform to inform his 16.3 million followers of his upcoming 2020 world tour, which will touch down everywhere from Chile to the UK. He also casually (or very elaborately, rather) provided album pre-save options. His now recurring, meticulous puzzle piece Instagram grid style announcement format (you know the kind), is surely at least partially responsible for this album delay. Getting those posts together no es fácil, people.

That being said, with great lead-up comes great expectations. Nibiru is a follow-up to Ozuna’s relished introductory collections, Odisea and Aura. They say good things are worth waiting for. Here’s to hoping that’s the case.
