Neon Indian, Xenia Rubinos & More Form Supergroup of Our Dreams, Tease Potential Prince Tribute

While the world is reeling from Prince’s death, musicians continue to pay their respects through homages and tributes to The Purple One. The latest outpouring of support comes from the supergroup of our dreams: Xenia Rubinos, Neon Indian, Holy Ghost, as well as musicians Hannah Cohen, Kristin Kontrol, and Escort. Both Neon Indian and Holy Ghost frontman Alexander Frankel teased the collaboration on Instagram, captioning the posts “Got a lil surprise headed yalls way” and “??,” respectively. While we can’t be 100 percent sure the indie darlings have a Prince tribute in the works, my exhaustive investigative reporting leads me to believe that the purple heart emoji is a dead Prince giveaway. We’re expecting a full-on “We Are the World” effort, with way more synths.
