Tainy has brought two distinctive voices together for his new single “Lo Siento BB:/.” The renowned producer is joined by longtime collaborator and superstar rapper Bad Bunny and singer and songwriter Julieta Venegas. The track is the first single from Tainy’s upcoming debut studio album, DATA.

“This track is a dream come true,” Tainy said in a statement. “It’s been a long journey to finally get to release a part of the work from my upcoming debut album, and I think there’s no better way than this to kick it all off. I am a huge fan of both these artists and to have been able to bring them into my creative space and create something really different not heard before makes me so happy!”

The music video for the sci-fi-inspired song “Lo Siento BB:/” features Tainy sitting alone at a computer inside a warehouse where he’s inputting data into a female robot who is in a state of sleep. The video transitions to Venegas performing on a white piano set on a terrain that looks like it could be another planet.

Venegas said she jumped at the opportunity to work with Tainy and Bad Bunny when she got the call. She explained “Lo Siento BB:/” is about someone who allows fear to keep him from falling in love.

“Tainy is super generous,” Venegas said in a statement. “[This] was ideal for me—to work this way, writing and telling a story through a song. The video is genius. I’m happy with the song and with the result. I hope that someday we will sing it live.”

For Bad Bunny’s contribution, he joins the melancholic music video dressed in all white and standing on a pedestal inside a dimly lit room—the vibe in line with the iconic #SadBunny fragment of his personality.  Later, viewers watch as a melancholic monster—who looks like a cross between a character from Where the Wild Things Are and a college football mascot—walks alone in a neighborhood and later meets up with a woman he loves.

“Working with Tainy is always a pleasure,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. “The world knows that when we get together, we make magic. What’s so special about this track? I have the honor of sharing vocals on the same track with Julieta Venegas, something I never imagined and that’s why it fills me with so much emotion.”

“Lo Siento BB:/” comes on the heels of Tainy winning Billboard Latin’s Producer of The Year award for the second year in a row. He also recently received four nominations for the 2021 Latin Grammys—Album of the Year (Bad Bunny’s “El Último Tour Del Mundo”), Song of the Year (J Balvin’s “Agua”), and two for Best Urban Song (“Agua” and Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez’s “Dákiti”).
