Tekashi69 will not be allowed to serve his recently imposed 24-month sentence from home, as he requested recently. According to The New York Daily News, a judge rejected his request on Tuesday morning.
As we reported last week, Tekashi69, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, argued in court that his status as a celebrity gave him concerns for his safety, and asked to serve his sentence from home.
“The Court recognizes that, as a result of security and related considerations that have resulted in his placement in a private jail, Mr. Hernandez, while incarcerated, may not have the same access to rehabilitative opportunities and programs as other Bureau of Prisons inmates,” Judge Paul Engelmayer wrote in a two-page decision, The New York Daily News reported.
Here’s hoping the convicted felon and all-around sinister character can give it a rest soon and stay out of our collective consciousness.
