Since news broke that Kate del Castillo helped broker the meeting between Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán and Sean Penn, it’s been suggested that El Chapo fell hard for the fictional La Reina del Sur. First, there were those thirsty texts he supposedly sent Kate, and then there was that erectile dysfunction surgery he reportedly got while on the lam.
This weekend, Elvis Crespo immortalized their whole saga through song. In an Instagram post, he shared a small snippet of himself singing the track, which is presumably called “Escapate” and will be released with Grupo Manía. The short clip doesn’t mention Kate or El Chapo by name, but he does make some pretty clear references to prisons and tunnel escapes, so we can only assume it’s about those two.
