On Apr. 5, MTW Live revealed their first-ever Mujeres Del Movimiento event featuring Dominican women artists like Yailin La Más Viral, La Insuperable, and Melymel. The music celebration is set to take place at the United Palace in New York, NY, on June 24.

Hosted by Dominican journalist and public historian of dembow Jennifer Mota, the new event features an all-Dominican women lineup and aims to celebrate el movimiento. “Honored to announce this @mtw.live , MATATANA-led event: @mujeresdelmovimiento. An all-women line up del movimiento Dominicano taking place this summer in the heights 💖,” Mota announced online.

She continued: “I want to make sure to highlight and give flowers to @diana_dotel for her efforts in creating this event filled with love and intention. Head over to @mujeresdelmovimiento and get your tickets 💖.” She closed off by saying: “ALSO: this is a celebration open to all.”

The new event includes Dominican singer Yailin La Más Viral, who is known for her hits like “Si Tu Me Busca” alongside her ex-partner Anuel AA and “Soy Mamá (Remix)” with La Insuperable, who is also on the inaugural lineup. It also features Melymel, known for her freestyle abilities and a staple in the Dominican Republic’s rap scene.

But that’s not all. Other Dominican artists on the lineup include the multi-faceted La Perversa, known for her tracks like “Mueve Eso”; Chelsy, who just released her newest collaboration “Se”; the emerging artist Lismar; and rapper Queen Parker.
