On June 1, Ray-Ban and underground electronic music media powerhouse Boiler Room are partnering with GHE20G0TH1K for Push Yourself, an exclusive 18-21 affair aiming to give younger club aficionados the first can’t-miss turn up of the summer. As Boiler Room puts it, the event will feature “emerging artists who have pushed themselves and their communities to make their unique sounds heard around the world.” The event is being held in the Bronx, keeping things close to home for GHE20G0TH1K’s young, ultra-hip, and largely New York-based following.

The party has always been a space for cultural back and forth between curators and fans, inspiring one another’s music and fashion tastes. With a desire to keep their finger on the creative pulse of the streets, the 18-21 age limit continues to encourage the spirit of newness while simultaneously providing a space for fans to see dope artists and DJs they might otherwise be too young to access at a downtown club.

The lineup, curated by Venus X and the GHE20G0TH1K crew, is representative of the movement’s forward thinking melding of urban, house, and world sounds. Boasting talent from different corners of the world, Venus X’s full curatorial vision is on display, with artists like rising Dominican rapper Messiah El Artista, and NYC/ Philly ballroom DJ Byrell the Great. Rapper Tate Kobang will be repping for Baltimore, DJ Cueheat for Jersey, and DJ Kablam for Berlin. Asma Maroof (one half of Nguzunguzu) and Venus X herself will also be on deck.

Make sure to RSVP to the event for updates and info on their undisclosed location, and get your Hood By Air gear, PVC chokers, and fitted caps ready, because this party is about to be all kinds of lit.

Push Yourself will go down in the Bronx on June 1 at a TBD location. To RSVP, click here.
