Lady Gaga is a big fan of The Addams Family spin-off series Wednesday. Yesterday (Dec. 1), it was revealed that she pulled a clip from the Netflix show that stars Jenna Ortega for the Spotify background of “Bloody Mary.”

Since premiering on Netflix on Nov. 23, Wednesday has become a breakout hit on the streaming platform. On Tuesday, Netflix announced that Wednesday had broken a record for the most hours viewed in a week for an English-language series with 341.2 million hours. Season four of Stranger Things previously held that record. Wednesday is also embracing the Latine heritage of the Addams family with Ortega, who is of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, as the titular character.

One of the most popular scenes from Wednesday features Ortega embracing her gothic character while busting a move at a school dance. The moment went viral on TikTok. Originally, Wednesday was dancing to the song “Goo Goo Muck” by The Cramps, but last night, Lady Gaga fans spotted Wednesday doing that same dance to Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary.” When the haunting track from her 2011 album Born This Way is listened to on Spotify, the background video is Wednesday dancing at the school Rave’N dance. The song fits really well with Wednesday’s peculiar moves.

The Twitter account for the Wednesday series later acknowledged her dance to Lady Gaga’s song. “I see you doing my dance moves to Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary. I understand she is followed by little monsters. I approve,” the account tweeted. That tweet caught the attention of Mother Monster herself who responded. She also left a message for Thing, the walking severed hand in the series.

“Slay Wednesday!” Lady Gaga wrote.  “You’re welcome at Haus of Gaga anytime (and bring Thing with you, we love paws around here).”

The first eight episodes of Wednesday are now streaming on Netflix.
