Peso Pluma isn’t showing signs of slowing down anytime soon. A video recently surfaced of the Mexican singer recording with El Alfa in a makeshift studio while in the Dominican Republic (May 23).
The soundless clip was shared by radio personality Santiago Matías, aka Alofoke, on his Instagram page, where he revealed that the music video for their collaboration was filmed in Punta Cana. The thought of having Peso Pluma, who’s been making major waves with his signature fusion of corridos with trap and even reggaeton, joining forces with the Dominican dembow titan has a lot of fans weighing in on social media.
“Peso Pluma in DR, that collab with El Alfa gonna ruin the streets like crack,” wrote one fan on Twitter.

If the news is giving you some deja vu, you’re not wrong. Peso Pluma has been making headlines for teasing new music on TikTok. The artist is also rumored to have collaborations with Anuel AA, DannyLux, and likely many others on the way.
It’s not clear when his collaboration with El Alfa will be released, but given Peso Pluma’s meteoric rise, the single is very likely to be a chart success. His global hit “Ella Baila Sola” with Eslabon Armado is currently locked in at No. 5 on this week’s Hot 100 chart. The artist recently expanded his upcoming Doble P Tour with more shows to meet the overwhelming demand.
