All eyes have been on Tokischa since her potential collaboration with Madonna was teased last week. Now, there’s a steamy performance creating even more buzz. Last night, Madonna and Tokischa performed together at the World of Women’s NFT NYC event at Terminal 5 (June 23) and took the audience by surprise when they locked lips.
In case you missed it, the acclaimed queen of pop and the Dominican music artist made out during the show while performing what sounds like a remix of Madonna’s 2005 hit “Hung Up.” At the beginning of the now-viral performance, both artists are on the floor, crawling towards the audience in revealing ensembles.
Towards the performance’s grand finale, Madonna takes it to the next level by dancing on Toki. Toki then responds by kneeling and appearing to lick her crotch area. As the “Linda” artist comes back up to Madonna’s eye level, the two pull each other close and passionately kiss — and the crowd goes wild.
It is no surprise that the moment has gone viral, especially given the outrage that has already transpired in the Dominican Republic. A Twitter user commented: “Religious Dominicans reacting to Madonna and Tokischa kissing… She keeps triggering them, and I’m here for that.”
Another Twitter user commented: “GIRLS GET A ROOM!! Idk how can I recover from this it is a f*cking moment! Hold on I need to breathe!”
Others are excited about the new “Hung Up” remix. An Instagram user, Barbara Gawalewicz, commented: “AMAZING performance ❤️😍👏 She looks fantastic🤩and this is a really great version of Hung Up. I love it 🥰.”
This performance also gave off major déjà vu to the unforgettable MTV VMA performance kiss with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Madonna in 2003 — which Spears and Madonna recently recreated. While we don’t know if this was what the two eclectic artists were spotted collaborating on, one thing is for sure: Tokischa is thriving while making a name for herself in the global music industry.
Recently, she dropped her single “Estilazo” with Marshmello. What’s next for Tokischa? Well, with the blessing from Madonna herself, I’d say the world is currently her oyster.
