It’s finally out! Anitta officially dropped her highly-anticipated disco pop collaboration “Lobby” with the emblematic rap icon Missy Elliot today (Aug. 18). With the song, she released a flirty, colorful music video to go along with it. “Lobby” is part of Anitta’s extended installment of Versions Of Me, which is coming out on Aug. 25.

The Arrad-directed music video starts with Missy’s signature intro, saying “this is that new Anitta, suckahs.” Anitta then appears decked out in an all-white outfit with a rose pink head wrap and coral pink heels. Missy Elliot wears a pop of color outfit, graciously executing her incomparable flow.

Towards the music video’s end, the production takes a more digital approach by playing with the ratios of each artist. We see small-scaled, doll-sized Anitta standing and grooving on Missy’s shoulder and on the palm of her hand, and top of her head. The charisma between the two artists is charming, to say the least.

The artists’ mutual appreciation for each other has been clear from the start of their collaboration. “.@Anitta one of the sweetest artist & had me laughing so hard yesterday🤣😂You a Star!” Missy Elliott posted on Twitter, when they wrapped up the video production. “And I am truly GRATEFUL to you & your Team you all treated me with so much LOVE & KINDNESS🙏🏾💜 Let’s go🙌🏾#Lobby.”

In response, Anitta wrote: “Guys..  it’s not a dream  I have a song with the queen !!! ICON.”

It’s been an exciting month for the trilingual global pop star. Before this, Anitta released a steamy single and video, “El Que Espera,” with Maluma. She also released the music video for the upbeat banger “Gata.” That’s not all, though. She was the first Brazilian artist to be nominated for this year’s MTV VMAs in the “Best Latin” category for “Envolver.” This performance will mark its broadcast performance premiere, which will take place on Aug. 28.
