At the end of last year, El Dusty, the Corpus Christi producer and DJ, signed a worldwide recording deal with Aftercluv Dance Lab, a new EDM focused subsidiary of Universal Music Latin. To celebrate, he enlisted the help of fellow label mate Erick Rincon of famed Mexican supergroup, 3Ball MTY. Together, they’re flexing their production skills with their new track “Trapanera.”
Combining Trap drums and a sample of Aniceto Molina’s “El Campanero,” the duo unleased a new hybrid track that El Dusty describes as a mix of “all my styles in one. The rap and trap riddims, a dope old school sample, chopped up and sequenced from an MPC perspective, and my boy Erick, (who) steps in with a wicked ‘3ball’ hook, and the cumbia ties it all together.”
The new single is available today, dropping officially on iTunes but available on all digital platforms globally.
