Audri Nix Struts With Her Crew in the Sleek “Más” Video

We haven’t taken Puerto Rican artist Audri Nix’s “Más” off our playlists since it dropped last fall. The hustle is eternal, after all, and the Overlord-produced track is exactly the kind of sure-footed R&B we need to soundtrack our persistent ambitions.

Apparently her team hasn’t forgotten about “Más” either, because they just dropped a clean visual to the single that focuses on moments in any upwardly mobile artist’s day in the life; fronting with the girls on the new whip, dominating a photoshoot, etc. It’s all blue skies and good styling, a satisfying vehicle for a vocalist who has many waiting for her next move after the release in early 2016 of her debut EP El Nuevo Orden, Vol. 1.

The song’s hunting horns provide an elegant backing to Nix’s assured lyrics, delivered in a candid, no-pressure singing range. “Más” counts as a rare professionally focused moment on the introspective El Nuevo Orden Vol. 1, and the clip complies, a portrait of an artist who stays ready to focus on her grind.

While no release date for Vol. 2 has been announced, Nix has recently made headlines for speaking out against the incompetence of Puerto Rican governor Ricardo Rosselló — and turning up as fellow emergent PR rapper Álvaro Díaz’s love interest in his video for “Piso 13.”
