Sometimes it’s not (just) about the many hits you make, but the friends you made along the way. The producer behind Sech and Darell’s No. 1 hit, “Otro Trago,” is decidedly swerving to the solo artistic lane, with the hearty push of some of his, and our, favorites. Dimelo Flow (born Jorge Valdes Vasquez) has worked with Rich Music, the team behind artists like Dalex and Feid, for quite some time now, and has other songs like “Pa Mi,” in his discography. The Panama City native reportedly signed to Interscope Records, and made his debut on Friday with “El Favor,” with Sech, Lunay, Nicky Jam, Zion, and Farruko. Five for one, end-of-summer deal.

Initially, Dimelo Flow started his career in music as a DJ. “I’ve always been a part of the creation of songs and the ideas behind them… [but] playing them live as an artist or DJ es algo que uno se vive because you can see how people react to something you created,” he told Remezcla in recent conversation. That euphoria is what led him to take the leap and be at the forefront of upcoming projects – including the group album Los Avengers, tentatively slated for September.

In “El Favor,” Flow sprinkles reggaeton with R&B, in a confident display of an art form that he and Sech perfected on Sueños. In similar fashion, the lyrics cater to all listeners, opting for a suave, flirtatious approach that’s not overtly vulgar. “Si tu cama está fría, puedes quedarte en la mía,” Sech sings. “Yo te hago el favor, solo mandame la ubi,” offers Nicky Jam. Each of them eager to please and help a distressed woman in a troubled relationship. You know… if they must.

The video appears to take place in a members-only brothel, and is filled with comedic commercial shots. But, if you can get past that, you’ll hear what sounds like the beginning of a promising future for Flow’s escapade.
