It’s pretty clear that Drake is a huge influence on Puerto Rican rapper Mike Towers. First, there was his freestyle “Comencé y Terminé Abajo” – now, for his latest release, he’s jumped on “6PM In New York,” with a new freestyle.
Towers takes a calm approach to this song and lets his lyricism flow without missing a beat; his lyrics letting you know he’s ahead of the game:”Tengo versos anticipando sus movidas.”
Mike definitely has a growing fan base in Puerto Rico, but you know you’re doing something right when one of the biggest Hip-Hop DJs of our generation shouts you out. Salute to DJ Khaled for recognizing the talent that comes from La Isla del Encanto.
