Piyama Party Switch It Up on Fuzzy New Single “Vampiros y Plantas Tropicales”

Piyama Party are ready to release their record Album de Oro, and their first single shows how distorted and turbulent it might get. For a band usually more drawn to acoustic songs or mildly distorted guitars, it’s surprising how dense and neo-psychedelic the atmosphere in “Vampiros y Plantas Tropicales” gets, but it works as a single and as part of their repertoire. It’s a song that fans of fuzzy sounds can get lost in.

According to Piyama Party’s blog, Album de Oro is the name the band chose after deciding it’s their favorite album. It was recorded in three Nuevo León cities: San Pedro, Santa Catarina, and Monterrey. Album de Oro will be released on cassette on October 17 through Monterrey label Cintas.
