Despite some petty drama at Kasike Mofongo House this past weekend, Messiah keeps on trucking with some new music. When he’s not offering a stack to the audience to identify whoever chucked that ice at him (rumor has it: a Guariboa stan?), you won’t be surprised to hear that the self-proclaimed “mejor con los Spanish remixes” turned up on a remix of Kapuchino’s “Me Buque.”
In what you might call a remix inception, Messiah puts his spin on the track, which is already a remix of sorts of Young Thug’s “Check” (with the same instrumental and melody). In their version, Kapuchino and Messiah rap about the blood, sweat, and tears it took to get to a world of sexy ladies and bottles of Moët. It’s produced as usual by Messiah’s go-to, DJ 40.
Looks like the Spanish remix bug has bitten Messiah’s frequent collaborator Tali as well, who dropped a flip en Español of Drake and Future’s “Jumpman.” Judging by the popularity of both Future’s “Commas” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling” (both of which Messiah remixed), this most likely won’t be the last Spanish remix we hear from the duo’s What A Time To Be Alive mixtape.
