Chicharito Completely Fanboyed When He Met NFL Player JJ Watt

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez is used to going toe-to-toe with the biggest names in fútbol, so he’s not really fazed when he meets them. But he absolutely lost his shit when he and J.J. Watt – the defensive end for the Houston Texas – came face to face. As Watt walked into the Texans’ facility the Selección Nacional de México was using for practice ahead of today’s Copa América Centenario game, the team ran up to him, looking like a bunch of excitable kids – though some of that may be due to the fact that at 6-foot-5-inches, Watt towered over most of them.

Chicharito’s jaw immediately drops, and he joyfully approaches him. “Hey, a pleasure,” he said. “Nice to see you. [I’m] a really big fan.” While Juan Carlos Osorio poses with Watt, Chicharito is off to the side waving around his new (and oversized) jersey like a flag. When someone asks him to put it on, Chicharito replies, “No, I’ll get it all sweaty.”

But he eventually gave in and played some football in his Watt jersey, and then he handed the footballista a soccer ball with all of the team’s signatures. You could imagine his heartbreak when Watt told him that the Texans will head to Estadio Azteca this fall, which is when Chicharito will be busy playing in Germany for Bayer Leverkusen.

Check out the whole adorable interaction below, and try not to be charmed by Chicharito:
