The UEFA Champions League came to a halt after PSV defender Hector Moreno made a last ditch tackle by going through the back of Luke Shaw’s legs. Manchester United’s Shaw received medical attention on the field, and his leg was put in a cast. He was given a breathing mask and taken off the field on a stretcher.

The former Pumas, AZ Alkmaar, and Espanyol player wasn’t given a red card, and he ended up scoring during stoppage time of the first half for the 1-1.

Finally PSV Eindhoven came from behind to beat Manchester United 2-1.

Luciano Narsingh headed in a Maxime Lestienne cross for the victory goal in their Champions League Group B opener at the Philips Stadion.

In 2014, Moreno suffered a tibia fracture when Mexico faced Holland during the World Cup in Brazil, and he just got back to the pitch in March. He moved across teams this summer, from Espanyol to Barcelona to PSV Eindhoven.
